'Old man' Nietfeldt leads state amateur golf
OMAHA - Only Ryan Nietfeldt can refer to himself as the "old man."
The 34-year-old former state champion has a two-stroke lead over a group of very young players after Monday's first round of the 102nd Nebraska Amateur Golf Championship at Happy Hollow Country Club.
Nietfeldt shot a dazzling 4-under-par 67 on the tight, century-old course.
Schneider wins Junior Amateur by a shot
Richard Schneider birdied the last three holes to beat Lincoln’s Bryce Brown by one stroke in the Nebraska Junior Amateur tournament that concluded Wednesday at the Wayne Country Club.
