Hart Dance Academy

Hart dancers love to dance

Friday, July 31, 2009 11:51 AM CDT
Hart Dance Academy was founded on the belief that students should love dance. That is still true today.

That passion for the art is what drives teachers to create an atmosphere of fun and team-bonding alongside individual skill and performance focus.

From the first class for young beginners, learning is disguised and activities are imaginative. As students progress and technique becomes more difficult, there is always an encouraging, non-competitive classroom for them to grow in. Students, assistants and teachers are encouraged to dance forever. Company classes in ballet, modern, lyrical, tap and jazz are filled with teaching staff members who embrace the love of dance by learning from each other.

The Shim-Sham Tap Troupe is made up of age 55-plus members who still take tap classes and perform all over. This passion for dance has given many Hart students amazing opportunities. Adriel Brown, Mariah Meyer, Sarah Baumart, Kaitlin Heibel and Eileen Farrell are just a few students who are performing in companies or taking professional-level classes outside Lincoln.
